The characteristics of fiberglass molding die manufacturing are as follows:
1. The cavity and core dimensions of the compression mold are determined by the shape and dimensional accuracy required by the plastic part. Since the mold operates under heating (60℃-150℃), the dimensions will expand during heating, and the cavity will shrink after cooling, repeatedly alternating. Therefore, when manufacturing the compression mold, in addition to processing and manufacturing according to the drawing dimensions, the wear of the cavity and core and the above-mentioned thermal expansion and contraction factors should also be considered to ensure product quality during long-term use of the mold.
2. When manufacturing the compression mold, the core and cavity should be matched and processed. After the matching process, paraffin or rubber clay can be used for edge trimming and trial repair. After inspection and acceptance, quenching and grinding are performed.
3. In order to facilitate the removal of the product, the cavity and core should be processed with a draft angle.
4. The positional accuracy of the upper and lower molds of the compression mold is generally determined by the guiding of the guide posts and bushings. During processing, the guide post and bushing mounting holes should be consistent, and the mating clearance should be appropriate. The forming holes, insert holes, and core holes on the core fixing plate should maintain the corresponding positional accuracy with the guide post and bushing holes to ensure that the mold is flexible after assembly.
5. The forming parts of the compression mold should be polished and chrome-plated to achieve a surface roughness of 0.20μm or more.
